Makhdoomi Mission
The organization named Anjuman-e-Ashrafia Charitable Trust was initiated in November 2002 by the descendant of the Prophet (SAW) and Ghousul Azam, Hazrat Allama 'Huzur Shaykh-e-Azam Shah Syed Mohammad Izhar Ashraf' Ashrafi Al-Jilani (RA), the Sajjada Nashin of Astanaye Aliya Ashrafia Sarkare Kalan Kichowcha Sharif, Ambedkar Nagar, UP, India. During his stay in Bangladesh in 2002, observing the need for Islamic education for the Ashrafi disciples, he formed a committee to establish Madrasas, Orphanages, Mosques, and public welfare activities, naming it Anjuman-e-Ashrafia Bangladesh, which was renamed Anjuman-e-Ashrafia Charitable Trust in June 2023 through the Chief Patron Huzur Quaid-e-Millat.
The committee progressed step by step, starting Quranic education in a rented house in Nayatola, Maghbazar through donations/Zakat. Later, the current Chief Advisor, Sufi Mohammad Mizanur Rahman, handed over 57.75 decimals of land in Gorat, Ashulia via a gift deed. Ashrafi disciples across various districts increased their contributions, leading to the construction of a Madrasa, Orphanage, and Mosque on that land, named 'Al-Jameatul Ashrafia Izharul Ulum & Orphanage' and 'Mukhtarul Masajid' by the founder. These institutions are managed by the Executive Committee of Anjuman-e-Ashrafia Charitable Trust.
Besides this, small-scale educational institutions have been launched in other districts of Bangladesh, including: 1. Astagram, Kishoreganj; 2. Chattogram; 3. Rajshahi; 4. Ajmeriganj, Habiganj; 5. Barishal. There are plans to expand activities to every district level in the future.
Anjuman-e-Ashrafia Charitable Trust has been serving as a voluntary organization for public welfare.
To date, it has been operated through donations/Zakat; if government support is received in the future, the service activities can be strengthened further.
